I am a mental health therapist specializing in treatment for individuals, couples and families dealing with crisis, trauma and grief issues. I currently maintain a private practice in Pasadena, California.
With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have served as a Community- Based Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Trainer, Mentor, and Corporate Director for one of the largest Behavioral Healthcare agencies in the country. My main goal is to assist people in overcoming issues such as PTSD, Bereavement, Victims of Abuse, Crime and Violence, Survivor’s Guilt, Anxiety, and Depression through a combination of therapeutic approaches. My uniqueness lies in my ability to provide support and practical feedback to help people effectively address life challenges.
I
utilize several Evidenced-Based Practices, such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brief Short-Term Therapy, Crisis Oriented Recovery Services (CORS) and others to help those who have experienced a challenging, traumatic, or life-altering event to return to previous, or, in some cases, improved functioning. My work with various communities has also stressed the importance of meeting a person or family where they are, paying special attention to the qualities that make us unique, such as gender and culture. With compassion and understanding, I work with each person to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
